The Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) has granted a temporary 45-day stay on personnel actions taken by the Department of Agriculture affecting probationary employees. This stay, effective for employees terminated since February 13, 2025, includes NAAE Bargaining Unit Employees (BUEs) within PPQ.
This MSPB order requires the Department of Agriculture to demonstrate compliance within five business days. Employees affected by probationary terminations are temporarily reinstated pending further review. It is important to note that this reinstatement is provisional, lasting only for 45 days.
NAAE is monitoring the situation to ensure our Bargaining Unit Employees are returned to work in accordance with the stay.
